Selena posted how grateful she is to her friend, Francia Raisa who is also an actress for giving her the “ultimate gift”. But why? Because Francia has donated her kidney for transplant to Selena. This has been the true value of friendship and love, that one is willing to become selfless, caring, and sacrificial to extend the life of the person we love and value and Selena feels truly blessed with this gift. Francia Raisa has been a long-time girl friend of Selena, an actress who was known for her role in The Secret Life of the American Stranger.
On the same Instagram post, Selena shared how it had been a struggle how she sacrificed her time not to promote her new album, because she prioritized her health first, because she needs to have an immediate kidney transplant because of her condition and she is still undergoing recovery. And posted of her and Francia on the hospital bed, and a photo of them holding hands.
She also extends her thanks to her parents and her team of doctors for what they have done for her all throughout the process of her surgery and the process after.She even shared a website to establish awareness among people about Lupus Research Alliance website, www.lupusresearch.org/.
